Current Snow Conditions

We are located three miles inland from Lake Superior, and 600 feet higher. Snow conditions here are much better than they are along the shore of Highway 61. If we say we have snow, believe us, we have snow!! Lake Superior moderates the weather on its shoreline while often sending snow to the higher levels - it's called "lake effect" snowfall. Our snowfall is significantly greater, it comes earlier, and it lasts longer than it does along the lakeshore. Don't be concerned if there's little snow along the Lake as you travel up Highway 61.

Thank you to all who mushed with us last winter. We had a great season with lots of good snow. We are not yet snow covered on November 11. But, we'll be mushing soon. Give us a call as early as you can, for the best selection of dates. As the snow piles up and the ice freezes, we look forward to mushing with you.
